Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, #90966
Welcome to Restored Pathways Family Counseling Collective! I’m Jessica Mitchell, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of our practice.
My journey into the helping field began with volunteering and working with the homeless population in Orange County, CA. It became evident that while addressing tangible needs was crucial, emotional and mental health healing was an even greater necessity. This realization led me back to school, where I completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. My post-graduate work primarily involved youth in the foster care and kinship care systems, igniting my passion for working with individuals who have experienced trauma.
My areas of expertise include trauma and dependency issues, and I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I understand that the path to healing is unique for each individual, which is why I offer flexible options for both in-person and virtual therapy sessions. I’m in-network with CIGNA, AETNA, Lyra Health, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum. For those with out-of-network insurance coverage, I also provide superbill services.
Finding the right therapist can be intimidating, especially if you’re new to therapy. That’s why I offer a free phone consultation to help you explore your needs, discuss what you’re looking for, and give you the chance to ask me any questions about my approach. In therapy, the most critical factor is the connection and trust you build with your therapist. You deserve that, as it forms the foundation for the healing journey.
My approach as a therapist is centered around you and your goals, providing a relaxed and compassionate space where we can work together. I’m here to be direct when needed, empathetic when you’re navigating challenging emotions, and always focused on your well-being. Your healing journey begins here, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
